Born as Hayley McGinty on 16th April 1988, Hayley Squires is a reputable English actress and playwright. She began gaining recognition for her remarkable performance in the Ken Loach film I, Daniel Blake. The renown of her talent did not stop with I, Daniel Blake. Squires also showcased her prowess in Call the Midwife (2012), Southcliffe (2013), Complicit (2013), Blood Cells (2014), A Royal Night Out (2015) and Murder (2016). Away from the film industry, she made a great impact on the theater stage, where her first play, Vera Vera Vera, was produced by the Royal Court Theatre in 2012.
The movie I, Daniel Blake, was a game changer for her, achieving several awards including the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, Best British Film at the 2017 BAFTAs, and it was also the Audience Award winner at the San Sebastián International Film Festival.
