Isabella Rossellini

Isabella Fiorella Elettra Giovanna Rossellini, born 18 June 1952, is an acclaimed Italian and American actress, model, and animal behaviorist. She is the daughter of Swedish actress Ingrid Bergman and Italian film director Roberto Rossellini. Rossellini's career has crossed continents and cultures and she remains a prominent figure in both European and American cinema. Her successful tenure as a Lancôme model, alongside her acting career, has marked her as one of the faces of international cinema. Some of her most notable roles were in films like 'White Nights', and 'David Lynch's Blue Velvet' for which she received the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead.

In addition to acting, Rossellini has been recognized for her work as a model, notably her longstanding association with the French cosmetics brand Lancôme. Despite being removed from their campaigns for being "too old" at 43, she was rehired by Lancôme at 63 – a major statement against ageism in the industry.
