What's After the Movie

Jake Weber

**Jake T. Weber**, born 12 March 1963, is an English actor renowned for his roles in various films and television series. He gained recognition for his performances as Michael in _Dawn of the Dead_ and as Drew in _Meet Joe Black_. Weber's television credentials are equally impressive, carrying a key role as Joe DuBois, the husband of psychic Allison DuBois, on the critically acclaimed drama series _Medium_. Throughout 2001 and 2002, he was a regular fixture on HBO's _The Mind of the Married Man_, while also appearing in _Law & Order: Criminal Intent_ and _NYPD Blue_. Recently, he played significant roles in series like _Hell on Wheels_, _NCIS: Hawaii_, and _Homeland_. Weber was born into a wealthy family in London, England, with a diverse lineage of Danish, English, and Moroccan-Jewish descent. Tragically, his mother passed away due to drug overdose when he was eight years old and his father, a drug trafficker, involved him in illegal activities from a young age. Despite the unfortunate circumstances, Weber carved out a successful career in entertainment. Weber attended Middlebury College in Vermont, majoring in English literature and political science, and later joined The Juilliard School's Drama Division. Notably, he was part of the launching of the documentary _Stones in Exile_ at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival where Mick Jagger humorously recalled Weber rolling marijuana joints for The Rolling Stones at the age of eight.
