With a career starting in 1984, LeGros gained prominence starring in Gus Van Sant's film 'Drugstore Cowboy'. He portrayed the character Chad Palomino, an acting divo with relentless 'A-list' star demands in a 'B-movie' mise-en-scene, in 'Living in Oblivion'. Following that, he delivered a gripping performance in the 1991 action-adventure film 'Point Break' as a bank robber, Roach, opposite Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves.

He appeared on notable TV shows such as Showtime's 'Sleeper Cell' as Special Agent Ray Fuller and 'Law & Order'. He was a cast member on the television series 'Ally McBeal' and had guest appearances on shows like 'Roseanne', 'Punky Brewster', 'The Outer Limits', and 'Friends'. He also portrayed Dr. Dan Harris on the NBC series 'Mercy' and Peter Gray in the Dark Sky thriller 'Bitter Feast'. Notably, he was the first actor to portray Deputy United States Marshal Raylan Givens in the TV film 'Pronto', a character based on a book by Elmore Leonard. He later reprised the character in the TV series 'Justified' as antagonist Wade Messer.
