Jing Lusi, born as Lu Sijing on 16th May 1985, is a distinguished British actress well recognized for her roles in Stan Lee's Lucky Man (2016), Crazy Rich Asians (2018), and the BAFTA-nominated series Gangs of London (2020). Built up her career ultimately in the United Kingdom, after relocating with her family from Pudong, Shanghai, China at the age of five, Jing drew her educational background from renowned institutions such as Peter Symonds College, Winchester, and University College London studying law. Her first television role was in BBC's BAFTA award-winning medical drama series Holby City where she made her debut in 2012 as Tara Lo. In 2013 she retired from the role after her character died during neurosurgery. Jing continued her journey, featuring in several TV shows like Stan Lee's Lucky Man, Scott & Bailey, Gangs of London, Matthew Weiner's anthology series The Romanoffs and recently landing a lead role in ITV series Red Eye in 2024. On the film front, Jing has graced the industry with her presence in films such as Survivor (2015), Crazy Rich Asians (2018), and Heart of Stone (2023). Apart from her acting and film career, Jing has shown her versatility, being part of the comedy storytelling show, Immigrant Diaries, during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2015 and hosting the Chinese New Year celebrations in Trafalgar Square during 2015–16. Her work was extensively covered in the BBC One programme My Chinese New Year.
