What's After the Movie
John Higgins MBE (born 18 May 1975) is a Scottish professional snooker player from Wishaw in North Lanarkshire. Widely recognized for his professionalism and considered one of the most successful players in the history of the sport, Higgins turned professional in 1992 and has been active ever since. Over his career, he has won 31 ranking titles, placing him in third position on the all-time list of ranking event winners. He has four World Championships, three UK Championships and two Masters titles under his belt. Despite facing accusations of match-fixing in 2010, an investigation cleared Higgins of these allegations. However, he was banned from professional competition for six months and fined £75,000. In the 2021–22 season, he lost five major finals, including the 2022 Tour Championship, but continued to show his skills and determination to the sport. In addition to his playing career, Higgins has made significant contributions to the sport of snooker, including becoming the second player, after Ronnie O'Sullivan, to reach 1,000 professional century breaks.
