Jon Rudnitsky

Jon Rudnitsky, born on November 22, 1989, is an eminent American comedian and actor. Rudnitsky's breakthrough came as a performer with the Los Angeles comedy troupe, The Groundlings. Gaining a huge breadth of attention for his brief period as a cast member on the NBC's popular sketch comedy series, Saturday Night Live, during its 41st season (2015-2016). After leaving SNL, Rudnitsky added to his acting portfolio by playing McWatt in the 2019 miniseries, Catch-22. A native of Harrington Park, New Jersey, he attended Northern Valley Regional High School at Old Tappan and later pursued acting at the University of Southern California.

His acting career includes performing with the Groundlings and doing impressions of renowned figures like Anderson Cooper and Tom Cruise. Among his notable works was his portrayal in a sketch acting as a moderator for a Democratic presidential debate, which attracted criticism from Cooper. Rudnitsky, however, was not returned for the subsequent SNL season. In the following years, he starred in several films, including the romantic comedy Home Again with Reese Witherspoon, Netflix's Set it Up, and in the NBC pilot Relatively Happy. As of 2020, Rudnitsky is currently playing Mike Devries in the musical comedy-drama television series, The Big Leap.
