Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, known by his stage name Kid Cudi, is a multi-talented American artist whose range of skills includes rapping, singing, songwriting, record producing, acting, fashion designing, directing and filmmaking. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Cudi pursued a successful musical career and gained early recognition for his hit song 'Day 'n' Nite', which was a catalyst for his rise to prominence. He is also known for his songwriting featuring themes of spirituality, heartbreak, alienation and depression. His style of music, integrating hip-hop with electronica and spacey synths, has gained him a large following and critical acclaim. Apart from his music career, Cudi has also made substantial accomplishments in acting, landing roles in HBO series 'How to Make It in America' and film 'Need for Speed'. He has launched his own vanity labels, the now-defunct Dream On and Wicked Awesome Records, and ventured into fashion with a collaboration with Italian designer Giuseppe Zanotti.
