Kiernan Brennan Shipka was born on November 10, 1999, in Chicago, Illinois. She is a highly recognized American actress who began her career at the tender age of five months in the hospital drama ER. Shipka's career truly kicked into high gear with her performance as Sally Draper, the daughter of main character Don Draper, in the AMC drama series Mad Men (2007–2015). Her performance garnered critical acclaim and earned her a regular spot in the ensemble cast in the series' fourth season. This role led her to win the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series in 2008 and 2009. In addition to her pivotal role in Mad Men, Shipka has proven her versatility by taking up multiple significant roles in the TV and film industry.
