Kira Buckland, born July 16, 1987, is a renowned American voice actress who has lent her voice to numerous English dubbed Japanese anime, cartoons, and video games. Some of her major roles include Jolyne Cujoh in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, 2B in Nier: Automata, Reimi Sugimoto in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable, and Trucy Wright in the Ace Attorney series, just to name a few.
Her career in voice acting began in 2004 when she worked on various platforms such as radio dramas and computer/video games. She made her mark online where she voiced characters in Newgrounds Flash animations and YouTube series under the pseudonym 'Rina-chan'. During her high school years, Buckland held the position of president of the anime club and co-founded the first Alaskan anime convention, Senshi-Con. Her success continued by winning the Anime Expo 2007 Idol Voice Acting competition and the Sakura-Con 2007 animated voice acting award. Buckland's personal highlights extend to her being proficient in Japanese and Spanish, moving to Southern California in 2011, and working miscellaneous jobs while training to be a professional voice actor. She was also known for her passion towards manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure during her career and even sported a tattoo of a star on the back of her neck, similar to the Joestar Birthmark.
