Kristin Dawn Chenoweth (born Kristi Dawn Chenoweth; July 24, 1968) is an accomplished American actress and singer with an extensive career spanning musical theatre, film, and television. Chenoweth won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her performance in 'You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown' on Broadway in 1999. Subsequently, she was nominated for another Tony Award for originating the role of Glinda in the musical 'Wicked' in 2003. Her television credits are equally impressive, including roles in NBC's 'The West Wing' and 'Pushing Daisies', for which she won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2009.

Chenoweth's journey started in Oklahoma singing gospel music and studying opera before she decided to pursue a career in musical theatre. She debuted on Broadway in 1997 in 'Steel Pier', for which she won a Theatre World Award. Chenoweth has also appeared in numerous other Broadway productions and has worked extensively in regional theatres, as well as Off-Broadway. She has several film credits, mostly character roles in movies such as 'Bewitched' (2005), 'The Pink Panther' (2006) and 'RV' (2006). Her discography encompasses several albums, including 'A Lovely Way to Spend Christmas' (2008), 'Some Lessons Learned' (2011), and 'For the Girls' (2019).
