Leslie Mann

**Leslie Jean Mann** (born March 26, 1972) is an outstanding American actress who has made mark in the industry with her unforgettable performances in numerous films, including 'The Cable Guy' (1996), 'George of the Jungle' (1997), 'Big Daddy' (1999), and 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin' (2005), as well as many others. Born and raised in San Francisco, Mann grew up in Newport Beach, under the care of her mother, Janet. Mann describes her relationship with her father as non-existent and claims to have zero connection with him. Prior to rising fame, Mann admitted to being 'very shy, kind of pent-up' during her youth. She graduated from Corona del Mar High School, and honed her acting skills at the Joanne Baron / D.W. Brown Acting Studio and alongside comedy improv troupe 'The Groundlings'. Mann plunged into her career at the age of 18, by appearing in various television commercials, before making a solid footprint in mainstream cinema. She rose to fame after performing in 'The Cable Guy', and later on 'George of the Jungle' with Brendan Fraser, and 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin' with Steve Carell. Her role in 'Knocked Up' brought her both an influx of appreciation and a 'Best Supporting Actress' nomination from the Chicago Film Critics Association. She continued her successful career by delivering staggering performances in several films, such as 'Funny People', 'This Is 40', and 'The Other Woman'. In her personal life, she is wedded to Judd Apatow and is a mother to two beautiful daughters: Maude Apatow and Iris Apatow. Leslie Mann is also known for her philanthropy; she and her husband donate regularly to 826LA, an organization encouraging writing skills of disadvantaged youth, and the Stuart House of the UCLA Rape Treatment Center.
