Lukas Daniel Haas, born on April 16, 1976, is known for his work as an American actor and musician. Haas embarked on a career spanning four decades, contributing to over 50 feature films, numerous television shows and stage productions. His notable appearances include iconic films such as Witness (1985), Mars Attacks! (1996), Inception (2010), The Revenant (2015), and First Man (2018). Originally from West Hollywood, California, he is the son of Berthold Haas, an artist, and Emily Tracy, an author. His diverse heritage includes a Texan mother and a German emigrant father. He has twin brothers, Simon and Nikolai, both designers.

His acting career began at the tender age of five when casting director Margery Simkin discovered him. His repertoire includes the 1983 nuclear holocaust film Testament and the 1985 film Witness, where his performance as an Amish boy garnered critical acclaim. He has been recognized throughout his career, even receiving an Emmy nomination for his role in The Ryan White Story. Haas is also a musician, serving as the drummer and pianist for The Rogues.
