Pete Davidson

**Peter Michael Davidson** (born November 16, 1993) is an American comedian, actor, and writer who began his career with minor guest roles. He became renowned for his work on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live (SNL) that he starred in for eight seasons from 2014 to 2022. Following his rise to prominence, Davidson starred in and executive produced comedy films such as Big Time Adolescence (2019), and the semi-autobiographical comedy-drama film The King of Staten Island (2020). He is also known for his roles in The Suicide Squad (2021), Bodies Bodies Bodies, and Meet Cute (both 2022). Furthermore, Davidson has released three comedy specials: Pete Davidson: SMD (2016), Pete Davidson: Alive from New York (2020), and Pete Davidson: Turbo Fonzarelli (2024). His comedy often discuss various themes such as American culture, everyday life, and social awkwardness. Pete Davidson was born in Staten Island, a borough of New York City, to Jewish-Irish parents. He was profoundly affected by the loss of his father who died in service during the September 11, 2001 attacks. He made his first stand-up comedy attempt at the age of 16. Apart from his acting career, Davidson supported Hillary Clinton in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and has a tattoo of Clinton on his leg. He has been diagnosed with Crohn's disease and borderline personality disorder. Davidson has faced several controversies including mocking Republican congressional candidate Dan Crenshaw and comparing the Catholic Church to R. Kelly.
