Sophia Lillis

**Sophia Lillis** (born February 13, 2002) is a well-established American actress, best known for her significant performances in a variety of genre-spanning roles. Her career kicked off in 2013, with a minor role in Julie Taymor's stage production of William Shakespeare's *A Midsummer Night's Dream* which was followed by her feature film debut in the 2016 movie *37*. Her breakthrough came in 2017 when she portrayed Beverly Marsh in the horror film *It*. A film adaptation of Stephen King's novel, *It* directed by Andy Muschietti also boasted a star-studded cast including Jaeden Martell, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Bill Skarsgård, Jack Dylan Grazer, Jeremy Ray Taylor, and Chosen Jacobs. That same year, she appeared in Sia's music video *Santa's Coming for Us* playing one of Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard's children. Following this initial success, Lillis' career continued to flourish, with roles in the HBO miniseries *Sharp Objects* (2018), the Warner Bros. film adaptation of *Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase* (2019), and the Netflix original series *I Am Not Okay with This* (2020). In the horror fairy tale adaptation *Gretel & Hansel* (2020), Lillis played the titular character Gretel that garnered positive reviews for its acting and cinematography. Her filmography also encompasses an independent film *Uncle Frank* by Alan Ball, premiered on Amazon Prime in 2020, and *Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves* (2023). Lillis continues to build her filmography with an ensemble cast in Wes Anderson's *Asteroid City* and upcoming projects such as *The Burning Season* with Naomi Watts, and *Before I Sleep*. In TV, she has made appearances in the 2024 Peacock television series titled *All Her Fault*.
