**Stephen Boxer**, born on 19 May 1950, is a notable English actor with an extensive record in films, television and stage performances. He is widely recognized for his role as Joe Fenton in the popular BBC One soap opera, 'Doctors'. His education occurred in New College School in Oxford, where he also sang as a chorister and later attended Magdalen College School, Oxford. Apart from 'Doctors', Stephen's career boasts a diverse range of performances. In 2008, he took a break from the soap to perform as Petruchio in the Royal Shakespeare Company production of 'The Taming of the Shrew', but returned for a few episodes in November 2010. His captivating portrayal of Joe Fenton in 'Doctors' earned him nominations for the British Soap Award for Best Actor in 2007 and 2008. He started his career way back in 1967 with the National Youth Theatre performance of 'Zigger Zagger'. Over the years, Stephen Boxer has distinguished himself in detective dramas, children's television, and the stage. Some of his notable works include 'Prime Suspect', 'Get Up And Go!', 'Mooncat and Co', 'A Royal Scandal', 'Tom Brown's Schooldays', 'Garrow's Law', 'Casualty', 'Luther', 'Midsomer Murders', 'Father Brown', 'The Honourable Woman' and 'Humans'. He has also ventured into voice acting, lending his voice to the character and boss enemy Slave Knight Gael in the video game 'Dark Souls III' and its DLCs 'Ashes of Ariandel' and 'The Ringed City'. In 2018, Boxer delivered a stunning performance as The Chairman in the Netflix series finale of 'Sense8'. His most recent works include his roles in 'The Crown', 'Elden Ring', and 'Baldur's Gate 3'.
