Steven Jay Blum, known as Steve Blum, born on April 29, 1960, is a highly esteemed American voice actor. He is recognized for his distinctly deep voice, landing him roles such as Spike Spiegel from the anime series Cowboy Bebop; Amon from The Legend of Korra; Heatblast, Ghostfreak, and Vilgax from Ben 10; and Wolverine from Marvel's Wolverine and the X-Men, among others. He also lent his voice to prominent characters in various video games such as Tank Dempsey from the Call of Duty Zombies franchise; Ares in God of War; and Sub-Zero from the Mortal Kombat franchise. Blum, starting his career in a film studio's mailroom receiving an offer for a voice acting job due to his profound voice, has traversed a long journey to the peaks of the voice acting space. Besides voice acting, Blum has been the head of marketing for a film studio and the announcer for 7-Eleven's 'Oh Thank Heaven' television and radio advertisements. His impressive career has earned him a Guinness World Record for the most prolific video game voice actor, with an outstanding tally of 261 credited appearances by May 10, 2012.
