Sujata Day

Sujata Choudhury, professionally known as Sujata Day, is an American actress, model, and screenwriter. Born on June 27, 1984, she kick-started her career in the performing arts at a very young age, showing interest in dance, acting, singing, and musical theater. After investing her early years in school and community productions, she made her way to Hollywood to carve a professional acting career. Over the years, Sujata has showcased her talent in a range of television shows including The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Campus Ladies, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 7th Heaven, Greek, and The Loop. A milestone in her career was the supporting role she played in the Warner Bros.-produced film Sublime in 2007. Furthermore, Sujata appeared on the big screen with Danny Glover and Snoop Doggy Dogg in the independent film Down for Life, which premiered at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival.

Continuing her successful journey, she starred in the web comedy series The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl and worked in the HBO series, Insecure. In 2017, Day expanded her professional portfolio to include writing, producing, and directing, with her film Cowboy and Indian acting as the stepping stone. Later, on May 30, 2019, it was announced that Day would direct a film titled Definition Please, a comedy-drama. She also penned the script for the film, which was shot in Greensburg, Pennsylvania during the summer of 2019 and marked her directorial debut.
