Born as Elizabeth Téa Pantaleoni on February 25, 1966 in New York City, Téa Leoni is a well-known American actress. Starting her active career in 1988, she gained popularity for starring in television sitcoms 'Flying Blind' (1992–93) and 'The Naked Truth' (1995–1998). Her breakthrough role was in the 1995 action comedy film 'Bad Boys', and she later went onto leading roles in various other films such as 'Deep Impact' (1998), 'The Family Man' (2000), 'Jurassic Park III' (2001), 'Spanglish' (2004), and 'Fun with Dick and Jane' (2005). She played the character Elizabeth McCord, Secretary of State, in the CBS political drama series 'Madam Secretary' from 2014 to 2019.

Leoni was cast as one of the stars of 'Angels 88' in 1988, but the show never aired due to production delays. She continued with small roles in several movies and sitcoms before getting her lead role in the ABC/NBC sitcom 'The Naked Truth'. Leoni later excelled both in television and film industry, starring in big-budget movies and attracting significant attention. Despite the commercial failure of some films, Leoni's performances have been appreciated. After a successful career in film, she started the political drama series 'Madam Secretary', which ran for five years.
