Tahar Rahim

Tahar Rahim (born 4 July 1981) is a critically acclaimed French actor. His breakthrough came in 2009 when he acted in the French film A Prophet, where his remarkable performance earned him the César Award for Best Actor and Most Promising Actor. He continued to make waves in the acting world, starring as FBI agent Ali Soufan in the miniseries The Looming Tower and playing the biblical character Judas in the film Mary Magdalene (both 2018).

Rahim received considerable praise for portraying Mohamedou Ould Salahi in The Mauritanian (2021), which led to nominations for the Golden Globe Award and the BAFTA Award for Best Actor. He also earned another Golden Globe Award nomination for his portrayal of Charles Sobhraj in the miniseries The Serpent (2021). Recently, Rahim has starred as Paul Barras in the period film Napoleon (2023) and wrapped up shooting for the Sony Spider-Man Universe film Madame Web (2024). He juggled his acting career with his personal life, raising four children with his wife Leïla Bekhti.
