**Joseph Timothy Thomerson** or better known as **Tim Thomerson** is a highly regarded American actor and comedian. Born on April 8, 1946, he is best known for his role as Jack Deth in the Trancers film series and his work in numerous low-budget features, as well as his comedic television roles. His film catalog includes popular titles such as Uncommon Valor, Air America, Volunteers, Who's Harry Crumb?, Iron Eagle, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. He was born in Coronado, California and spent his childhood in Hawaii and San Diego. Following service in the Army National Guard, Thomerson pursued a career in acting while working as a set builder and prop man at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre.\n After college, he transitioned into stand-up comedy, performing at comedy clubs like The Bitter End in Greenwich Village, The Improv in Los Angeles, and Catch a Rising Star in New York City. His stand-up comedy career in the 1970s led him to become a regular at the Comedy Store and the Improv. Director Robert Altman, after witnessing Thomerson's stand-up act, offered him a role in the film A Wedding. He started his film and television career in the mid-1970s and scored his first major roles in the slasher film, Fade to Black and the science-fiction movie, Trancers. He has enjoyed a long and successful career in the industry, with notable roles in films like Zone Troopers, Near Dark, Cherry 2000, and The Incredible Hulk Returns. In addition, he was a regular on the TV police drama, Sirens, and co-starred in the series, Land's End.
