Tuppence Middleton

Tuppence Amelia Middleton, a British actress, born on February 21, 1987, has been recognized for her astounding performances across different platforms such as film, television, and theatre. She was nominated for the London Evening Standard Film Awards for Most Promising Newcomer in 2010. Before her major breakthrough in Morten Tyldum's The Imitation Game in 2014, Tuppence had appeared in numerous films. She acted in the science fiction film Jupiter Ascending (2015) by The Wachowskis, Alfonso Gomez-Rejon's The Current War (2017), David Fincher's Mank (2020), and the historical drama films Downton Abbey (2019) and Downton Abbey: A New Era (2022).

Tuppence made her first appearance on television in Bones (2008) and emerged as a guest star in New Tricks (2010), Friday Night Dinner (2011), and Lewis (2013). She was also part of the Black Mirror episode 'White Bear' (2013), as Miss Havisham in Dickensian (2015–2016), as Russian princess Hélène Kuragina in War & Peace (2016), and as Riley Blue Gunnarsdóttir in Sense8 (2015–2018). Born in Bristol, she was named 'Tuppence' after her grandmother's nickname for her mother. She was an active participant in school plays while attending Bristol Grammar School, leading to her earning an honours degree in acting from the Arts Educational School in London. Other notable works include the British comedy horror film Tormented (2009), the BAFTA-nominated short film Connect, the spy thriller Cleanskin (2012), and the psychological horror Possessor (2020). She also narrated BBC World Service documentaries and was recently seen in ITV1's drama Our House (2022).
