American actor **Vincent Paul Kartheiser** was born on May 5, 1979 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He gained significant acclaim for his role as Pete Campbell on the AMC drama series Mad Men from 2007 to 2015. Additionally, he had starring roles in films such as _Alaska_ (1996), _Masterminds_ (1997), and _Another Day in Paradise_ (1998). He also starred in the WB television series _Angel_ as Connor and portrayed Dr. Jonathan Crane in the third season of the HBO series Titans. The youngest of six children, Kartheiser has a diverse ancestry consisting of German, Luxembourgish, Polish, Finnish, and Swedish heritage. He attended Apple Valley High School in Minnesota, but dropped out at age 15. He initially began his acting career on stage at the Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis. His debut in film was a minor role in the film _Untamed Heart_ (1993) which led to family fare roles and a notable lead role in the film _Alaska_ (1996). Kartheiser garnered substantial accolades for his role as Bobby, a drug-addicted criminal, in Larry Clark's _Another Day in Paradise_. He subsequently appeared in _Strike!_ and _Crime and Punishment in Suburbia_. He then co-starred in the supernatural drama series _Angel_ in 2002, and starred in the coming-of-age drama _Dandelion_, shown at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival. Kartheiser returned to live theatre in 2013, when he portrayed Mr. Darcy in an adaption of Pride and Prejudice at the Guthrie Theatre. Despite facing allegations which were investigated and subsequently monitored on set, Kartheiser continued his career, performing in various roles such as the third season of _Titans_ as Jonathan Crane in 2021.
