What's After the Movie
**Oluwunmi Mosaku**, born in 1986, is a highly accomplished Nigerian-born British actress. She ushered her career with notable roles such as Joy in the BBC Two miniseries Moses Jones (2009) and Holly Lawson in the ITV series Vera (2011–2012). One of her career-high moments came when she bagged the BAFTA TV Award for Best Supporting Actress for her outstanding depiction of Gloria Taylor in the TV flick Damilola, Our Loved Boy (2016). She was not only part of the fifth series of Luther in 2019, but the following year, stole the spotlight in HBO's remarkable series Lovecraft Country with her stellar performance of Ruby Baptiste. In 2021, she fashioned the character Hunter B-15 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) television series Loki, and reprised the role in the film _Deadpool & Wolverine_ in 2024. Mosaku’s acting journey began under the guidance of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where she graduated in 2007 with a BA in Acting Degree. Her silver screen debut came in 2007, at the Arcola Theatre. Her image was part of the UNDEREXPOSED exhibitions at the National Portrait Gallery in 2008, aimed at showcasing black role models. She graced the front cover of Screen International magazine in 2009. Mosaku headlined Moses Jones, garnering Best Actress in a Miniseries at the Rome Fiction Festival. She was named one of The Seven Fresh Faces of Toronto International Film Festival in 2010. Her role in **I Am Slave** won her numerous accolades including Best Actress at the Birmingham Black Film Festival, Best Onscreen performance at the Cultural Diversity Awards, and Best Female performance at the Screen Nation Awards. She ended up winning the 2017 BAFTA TV Award for Gloria Taylor's character in Damilola, Our Loved Boy.
