Roger Kumble

**Roger Kumble**, born on May 28, 1966, is a proficient American film director, screenwriter, and playwright. Raised in Harrison, New York, he started showcasing his penchant for storytelling while attending Harrison High School. After graduating from Northwestern University in 1988, he began his professional journey as a playwright and director in 1993. His first play, a Hollywood satire entitled 'Pay or Play', won him the LA Weekly Theatre Award for Best Comic Writing. Not to mention his outreach in Hollywood Comedy, he was conferred with four Drama-Logue Awards for his second play 'D Girl' in 1997. Known for his versatility, Kumble debuted as a feature-film-director in 1999 with Sony Pictures' 'Cruel Intentions'. His unique ability to weave stories captivated the audiences, as he transposed the French novel Dangerous Liaisons to modern New York. New Line Cinema's 'Just Friends' and Disney's family comedy 'College Road Trip' are couple of his notable works. Apart from film direction, he also established his name in television and directed episodes of popular shows like 'Entourage', 'Suits', and 'Pretty Little Liars'. In 2019, he directed Netflix's 'Falling Inn Love', followed by 'After We Collided', which turned out to be one of the most significant international box office successes of 2020.
