The narrative of Rahul “Rahulya” Patil reveals the heart-wrenching challenges a farmer encounters when he is forced to forsake his land and his source of livelihood. His father, Dattaram Patil, faces a similar plight, having sold their family land and scraping by as a watchman on it. The turning point occurs when the merciless landlord, Shinde, viciously attacks Dattaram, stirring Rahulya’s resolve to reclaim their lost inheritance. As fate propels their family to Pune, both father and son must grapple with survival, finding work as porters at a bustling vegetable market.

The story takes a twist when local thugs extort an elderly man, prompting Rahulya to intervene. His bravery earns him a spell in jail where he comes face-to-face with the enigmatic Nanya, a formidable gangster with powerful political allies. Upon his release, an unexpected alliance forms between Rahulya and Nanya, bringing about unforeseen opportunities. At the same time, Rahulya’s heart is captured by Manda, a spirited tea seller.

As Rahulya’s reputation escalates, he inadvertently finds himself implicated in a murder, which Nanya cunningly spins into a suicide. Emboldened by his newfound influence, Rahulya pledges exorbitant payments to the vegetable vendors, winning their admiration, although his father remains skeptical. His association with Nanya deepens, but chaos ensues as Pitya and Daya Bagare botch a land grab from Rahulya’s masterji. In a moment of vengeance, Rahulya shoots Masterji in front of his family, coercing Nanya to fabricate a story that shifts blame on Rahulya’s uncle.

This treachery drives Dattaram to disown Rahulya, casting him out of their home. Despite Manda’s concerns about Rahulya’s moral choices, she holds onto her faith in his goodness. As Rahulya is drawn deeper into the criminal underworld, he receives an invitation to Nanya’s extravagant birthday bash, where an explosive confrontation leads to him taking Nanya’s life, misled by the belief that the gangster assaulted his mother and sister. The vigilant Rajveer Singh witnesses the crime and apprehends him after a fierce struggle. After serving his time, Rahulya emerges on bail, now feared as the most notorious gangster in town.

In an unexpected turn, a spirited boy named Sidhu seeks Rahulya’s guidance and mentorship, touching a sentimental chord in him. However, Rajveer, who once supported Rahulya’s family, warns of the perils of taking justice into one’s hands. His pleas ignored, Rajveer resolves to detach himself from the futile situation, recognizing that only one gang can reign supreme. To exacerbate the violence, he tactfully eliminates members from both sides without their knowledge.

Despite his ill-gotten wealth, Rahulya faces growing alienation, notably from Dattaram, whose resentment is palpable. Manda’s father, Satya Vichare, openly criticizes Rahulya, declaring he would never allow his daughter to marry into such a dubious legacy. Fueled by anger, Rahulya retaliates against Satya, leading to Manda ending their relationship. This series of setbacks catalyzes a dark transformation, as Rahulya becomes increasingly ruthless, engaging in extortion and assassination, even orchestrating Shinde’s horrifying demise.

In a moment of fleeting triumph, Rahulya shares his victory with Dattaram, but moral ambiguity clouds his joy. A poignant encounter with a proud family stirs compassion within him, igniting a desire to pursue a political path alongside his father. Unknown to Rahulya, the local MLA concocts a plot against him, sending Pitya and Daya on a mission to eliminate him.

Chaos reigns in the streets of Pune as Rahulya finds himself hunted. Desperate, he calls upon Sidhu, who quickly assembles a team for assistance. Unbeknownst to them, Dattaram is also en route to the market, carrying crucial intelligence that could change the tide.

The climactic showdown unfolds when Rahulya confronts Pitya and Daya, but just as victory seems within reach, Sidhu betrays him, leading to Rahulya’s tragic end. Silence engulfs the market square as word of his demise spreads, while Dattaram’s chilling laughter echoes in the air, overshadowed by Rahulya’s final wisdom.

In the aftermath of this heart-wrenching tragedy, Rajveer exacts revenge against Pitya and Daya, bringing swift retribution. As Rahulya’s body is prepared for its final rites, sorrow fills the marketplace, with Dattaram’s laughter serving as a haunting reminder of precarious joy. Reflecting on Rahulya’s poignant insights on materialism, Rajveer gazes solemnly at the 300 acres that belonged to his fallen friend, pondering the absurdity of accumulating possessions in a world so transient.
