Plot Summary

As the Middle Eastern sun dips below the horizon, the cricket world was left stunned by the sudden disappearance of India’s star player, Viraj Sharma (Saqib Saleem). The Indian authorities received a cryptic videotape from an anonymous Pakistani fan, threatening to hold Viraj captive until the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan match two days hence. To avoid widespread panic, they kept the news under wraps and dispatched a seasoned police officer, Kabir Shergill (John Abraham), to the United Arab Emirates for a 36-hour manhunt.

Kabir’s no-nonsense approach was soon complemented by an unlikely ally: Junaid Ansari (Varun Dhawan), a rookie Emirati police officer with a keen knowledge of the local terrain. Together, they pored over CCTV footage from Viraj’s hotel and uncovered a tantalizing clue - on the night of his disappearance, Viraj had ventured out with an enigmatic young woman (Nargis Fakhri). A tense confrontation ensued when Kabir and Junaid tracked down this mysterious individual, who revealed that she had introduced Viraj to a friend’s party, only for him to depart shortly thereafter.

Undeterred by the lack of progress, the duo combed the city in search of a local thug (Vijay Raaz), whose information led them to a high-stakes pickpocketing ring. It was here that they stumbled upon Ishika (Jacqueline Fernandez), a cunning thief who claimed to have pilfered Viraj’s cellphone from a stranger. As the investigation continued, Kabir and Junaid finally cracked the code when they apprehended the individual featured in the initial videotape - only to discover that he was merely a pawn in a larger game.

The true mastermind behind Viraj’s disappearance emerged: Wagah (Akshaye Khanna), a ruthless cricket bookie who had enlisted the help of his cunning accomplice, Altaf (Rahul Dev). Their sinister plan revolved around extorting Viraj into throwing the India vs Pakistan match, offering him a staggering 50 Crore rupees to do so. As Kabir and Junaid closed in on Wagah’s operation, they unwittingly walked into a trap when Viraj tried to confide in a seemingly unsuspecting cop - only to find himself permanently kidnapped until the final whistle.

As the stakes reached a fever pitch, Kabir made the bold decision to pursue Altaf alone, with Junaid and Ishita joining him in Abu Dhabi. United in their determination to rescue Viraj and foil Wagah’s nefarious plans, they prepared to take on the criminal underworld head-on, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead in the pursuit of justice.

As Kabir, Junaid, and Ishita venture into the seedy underbelly of an underground Arabian club, they’re met with a maze of goons and guns. It’s there that Kabir spots Altaf, prompting him to take off in hot pursuit. But before they can catch up, a sniper’s bullet silences Altaf forever. In the aftermath, Wagah’s haunting confession rings out over the phone lines: he was responsible for Altaf’s demise, and it’s time to abandon the search for Viraj.

Back in Abu Dhabi, Kabir and Junaid are yanked off the case, with Kabir receiving orders to return to India. Little do they know, this turn of events is far from a coincidence. Earlier, Junaid had been tasked with finding a missing dog, earning him the ridicule of his colleagues for his lack of success. However, as he’s tracking down Altaf, he stumbles upon the very same canine and returns it to its relieved owners - only to discover that the dog belongs to none other than Wagah himself.

In a surprising twist, Junaid had secretly fitted the dog with a hidden video camera, allowing him to track the pup’s movements. This leads him straight to the location where Wagah has been hiding Viraj: a yacht docked near their team hotel. As they arrive on the scene, they’re met with a chilling discovery - Viraj is tied up and surrounded by a ticking time bomb. With mere minutes to spare, Kabir negotiates with Wagah, offering 5 billion rupees in exchange for sparing Viraj’s life. Despite accepting the bribe, Wagah refuses to back down, leaving Kabir to watch in horror as the blast occurs from a safe distance.

As the dust settles, Wagah strolls into the nearby cricket stadium, expecting the game to proceed without his nemesis. However, he’s met with a stunning surprise: Viraj walks onto the field, fully prepared to play, thanks to Kabir and Junaid’s quick thinking and bravery. They had managed to free Viraj by dislocating his shoulder just before the blast, and then plunged into the water to escape the explosion.

Seething from his plan’s collapse, Wagah attempts to flee, only to be apprehended by the determined duo. As Kabir returns to India with Ishita, Junaid prepares for a new chapter in his life - a marriage proposal from Muskaan (Parineeti Chopra) and a trip to meet her in India.
