In the distant future, around Age 732, unease blankets King Vegeta’s realm as he receives grave news from the fearsome warlord, King Cold. He learns that his people are now to be subjugated under Lord Frieza, whose son is poised to wield the power of galactic dominion. Amidst this treachery, King Vegeta becomes aware of an extraordinary infant named Broly. This commoner possesses a latent strength that surpasses that of his own son, Prince Vegeta. Fearing that Broly may one day challenge his reign, King Vegeta makes the harsh decision to exile the infant to the desolate planetoid Vampa, hoping that his demise will eliminate any future threats to Saiyan superiority.

On Vampa, Broly’s father, Paragus, embarks on a perilous rescue mission, only to find his ship wrecked upon arrival. Stranded and helpless, Paragus vows to raise his son with a singular mission: to take revenge against King Vegeta for his betrayal.

As five years pass, Bardock, a low-ranking Saiyan warrior, grows increasingly alarmed by Frieza’s gathering of the Saiyans on Planet Vegeta. Bardock and his wife, Gine, share their trepidations regarding Frieza’s intentions, and together they uncover the dark truth: Frieza plans to annihilate the Saiyan race, spurred by fears of the Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God legends. Realizing that he must act to protect his family, Bardock resolves to send his infant son, Kakarot (later known as Goku), to Earth, where he will be adopted by a human couple. Meanwhile, Broly endures a life marked by strife and solitude on Vampa, which ultimately ignites a fierce desire for retribution against King Vegeta.

Forty-three years later, in Age 780, after the Tournament of Power, Kakarot, now training rigorously with Vegeta on a remote island, faces disruption when Bulma receives alarming news: six out of the seven Dragon Balls have been stolen by low-ranking Frieza Force soldiers. Together with her allies, including Prince Vegeta and Whis, they embark on a daring adventure to reclaim the spheres before Frieza can harness their power.

Simultaneously, Broly and Paragus are liberated from their Vampa exile by Cheelai and Lemo, two Frieza Force soldiers on a recruitment endeavor. These newfound allies inadvertently bring them before Lord Frieza, who hires them to eliminate Goku and Vegeta. However, unbeknownst to them, Cheelai has clandestinely absconded with the remote control that kept Broly under Paragus’s thumb, setting the stage for an explosive showdown on Earth between these unexpected factions.

As battle erupts, Broly’s combat skills rapidly evolve, allowing him to outmaneuver Super Saiyan Vegeta with his adaptive techniques. Goku, confronting Broly in various forms—from base to Super Saiyan Blue—manages to hold his ground despite Broly’s escalating power. However, Paragus grows increasingly anxious, realizing the loss of control over Broly as Frieza lurks with sinister intentions.

Recalling how Goku first achieved his Super Saiyan transformation, Frieza clandestinely eliminates Paragus, triggering Broly’s dormant Super Saiyan powers. Unleashed and driven by fury, Broly begins to overpower both Goku and Vegeta, forcing them to unleash their Super Saiyan Blue forms in self-defense. Amidst the chaos, Goku utilizes his instantaneous movement technique to transport himself and Vegeta to Piccolo, hoping to impart the Fusion Dance technique.

Their training culminates in the emergence of Gogeta, who enters the fray just as Broly’s focus shifts towards Whis after he has triumphed over Golden Frieza. The two engage in a breathtaking battle, with Gogeta ultimately gaining the upper hand just as Broly taps into his Super Saiyan Full Power, counteracting with Super Saiyan Blue. Their fierce confrontation shatters several dimensions, bringing them back to Earth in a dramatic fashion.

In the aftermath, Gogeta delivers a decisive strike to Broly with a Meteor Explosion, nearly finishing him off with an Ultimate Kamehameha. Fortunately, Cheelai and Lemo, who have developed a bond with Broly, intervene by summoning Shenron through the Dragon Balls, wishing to safely return Broly to Vampa.

As they escape, Gogeta resolves to spare them, recognizing their potential value in stabilizing Broly as a powerful asset within Frieza’s ranks. Some time later, Goku makes his way to Vampa, aiming to supply Cheelai and Lemo while also expressing his desire to train with Broly, helping him harness his extraordinary strength. In this pivotal moment, Goku introduces himself, urging Broly to call him Kakarot as they begin a new chapter together.
