As Danielle and her nephew Luke step into the beauty parlor, it becomes clear how frail the elderly woman has grown. Seeking a rejuvenating hair treatment, Danielle’s health takes a turn for the worse, highlighting the severe condition of her lungs. Observing her distress, Kassia Lancaster, the beautician, promptly alerts Wylie, Danielle’s other nephew, who is currently distracted by a romantic pursuit. Realizing the urgency, Kassia urges Wylie to hurry, expressing her grave concerns about Danielle’s condition and impending mortality. This conversation sparks a questionable thought in Wylie’s mind, which he later reveals to Luke: the idea that hastening Aunt Danny’s death by cutting off her nighttime oxygen supply could be seen as a merciful act.

The following day, Wylie makes an attempt to visit Aunt Danny. However, he is quickly overwhelmed by the numerous cats that surround him, stemming from a childhood trauma where he was attacked by a cat. Returning to Kassia’s beauty parlor, Wylie expresses his frustration at being caught in a feline-filled trap, although Kassia genuinely knows nothing about it. They eventually reconcile and spend the night together, setting the stage for complicated emotions and motives.

Simultaneously, Luke becomes suspicious of Wylie’s true intentions, pondering whether he is merely after Danielle’s inheritance. The ambiguity in Wylie’s plans is unveiled when he discovers Aunt Danny’s shocking decision to leave her fortune to her beloved cats, leaving him flabbergasted. Convinced of his superior moral standing, Wylie begins to persuade Aunt Danny to change her will, attempting to remove the cats from her life. Luke, in a bid to assist, agrees to lure the cats into a car filled with enticing meat.

As the family dynamics grow tense, Aunt Danny overhears a conversation between Wylie and Kassia about her potential demise, leading her to confront Wylie about his real motives. Wylie brushes it off as a joke, but Aunt Danny remains skeptical. Amidst this tension, the cats gradually reclaim their presence, setting up a dramatic climax that will challenge family loyalty and love.

On the morning after the will’s surprising alteration, Wylie and Aunt Danny embark on a breakfast outing. Their peaceful morning gets disrupted when Aunt Danny spots Kassia watching them closely from her window. Wylie, sensing the need to confront her about the will, finds himself entangled in a heated discussion as Aunt Danny attempts to maneuver Kassia’s wheelchair down a sloping sidewalk. Their return is abruptly halted by a malfunctioning chair, locking Kassia and Wylie in a fierce argument.

Unbeknownst to them, Kassia observes their struggle, prompting Wylie to rush out to help his friend. Just then, a curious cat distracts him, causing Aunt Danny to lose her balance and tumble down the sidewalk. Fortunately, Luke arrives just in time to catch her, ensuring she suffers no injury.

Later, back in bed, Aunt Danny tries to voice her worries about Wylie and Kassia’s scheming to her doctor, but her efforts are thwarted when she is given a sedative, rendering her unconscious. As Kassia stealthily enters Aunt Danny’s room to disable her oxygen supply, her plans are interrupted by a hissing orange cat that bears an uncanny resemblance to one that had previously met a tragic end. This feline interference forces Kassia to exit, only to be met with a horde of cats that follow a disturbing trail of blood back to Wylie.

The sudden invasion of cats sends Wylie into a state of panic as one particularly brazen cat claims him for its own. Luke springs into action, rescuing Wylie while simultaneously sharing a passionate kiss with Kassia, who has arrived to assess the situation. As the tangled web of deceit begins to unravel, it becomes evident that their conspiratorial actions against Aunt Danny are much darker, culminating in a chilling revelation about their true intentions.

As Kassia recklessly tries to regain control over the seductive bowl of meat, she ends up spilling it onto herself, igniting a feline frenzy that sends her sprinting for safety. She high-tails it into the greenhouse, where she becomes surrounded by the very cats she had used as pawns in her machinations. Meanwhile, Luke takes it upon himself to suffocate Aunt Danny’s oxygen tank, sealing everyone’s fates.

As Kassia finds herself precariously perched on a ladder, a relentless cat pursues her. With one destructive leap, the cat sends her tumbling to her demise. Luke, alerted by the commotion, discovers her lifeless body, only to uncover the shocking truth: Aunt Danny was never actually in danger, as Wiley had whisked her away to conceal her for “safekeeping.”

The shocking twist sends shockwaves through the group, as Wiley, now free from his dazed state, declares his intent to leave, leaving both Aunt Danny and Luke astonished. To add to this bizarre tableau, the orange cat ominously supervises from its vantage point above, solidifying the unsettling dynamics these characters share.
