In the shadow of a heart attack, retired General José Mendieta is confronted by the ghosts of his Operation Condor past, where he condoned torture, imprisonment, and executions in 1970s Latin America. Through a letter to his son, he reveals the atrocities he perpetrated, including the disappearance of journalist Marco, activist Antonio, and revolutionary Andrea, and their families, whose lives were forever shattered by Mendieta's ruthless regime.
