The curtain rises on a somber note, as a group of elderly men submit to mug shots, their weathered faces bearing testament to the trials they've endured. Among them is Yonatan (Gil Blank), a bright but beleaguered young man whose life takes a drastic turn when he's suspended from school after being coerced into cheating by his tormentors. His mother, Dorit (Yael Abecassis), seeking solace for her son's plight, takes him to the bank where her husband, Daniel (Tzvika Hadar), is working a night shift as a security guard.

As fate would have it, father and son clash in a bitter argument, which culminates in Daniel exhibiting heart attack symptoms. With his life ebbing away, he implores Yonatan to retrieve his medication from the car. But in his haste, Yonatan misplaces the keys, causing him to arrive at the bank just as the alarm system is triggered, trapping him inside and separating him from his father's lifeless body.

The tragedy sets off a chain reaction of events, as Dorit seeks compensation for her husband's untimely demise from the unscrupulous bank manager, Dedi (Moshe Ivgy). However, she's met with a cold rebuff, as Dedi reveals that Daniel wasn't alone at the time of his passing, rendering him ineligible for any financial restitution. Desperate to make ends meet and unwilling to leave Yonatan unsupervised, Dorit turns to her estranged father-in-law, Eliahu (Sasson Gabai), who resides in a nursing home with his wife, Rhoda, in a coma, and his old friend from the Jewish pre-state underground days, Nick (Moni Moshonov).

Meanwhile, Dorit's desperation drives her into the arms of Dedi, as she begins an illicit affair in exchange for financial aid. As Yonatan grows closer to Eliahu and Nick, they're joined by Rhoda's estranged English brother, Lord Michael Simpson (Patrick Stewart), a faded actor struggling with debt and personal demons. Together, this unlikely quartet hatches a plan to exact revenge on Dedi and the bank that wronged them, drawing inspiration from their own experiences as former bank robbers during Israel's Mandate period.

The heist unfolds with its share of twists and turns, but ultimately culminates in a surprising yet heartwarming conclusion.
