Of Fathers and Sons 2018

In this intimate documentary, filmmaker Talal Derki embeds himself with a radical Islamist family for two years, capturing the poignant struggles of three siblings as they navigate their father's fervent dream of establishing an Islamic caliphate. Through the eyes of 13-year-old Osama and his brother Ayman, we witness the tension between duty and desire, as they grapple with their own futures in a world torn apart by extremist ideology.
