As Paul Blart, portrayed by Kevin James, strives to move past his turbulent past, he finds a renewed sense of purpose while patrolling the mall. With two years since his mother’s tragic passing and just six days into his marriage with Amy before she decides to end things, the scars of his experiences still weigh heavily on him. Yet, Paul has learned to channel his emotions toward a meaningful goal. Now, four years later, he stands at the threshold of a new chapter awaiting to unfold.

This pivotal shift is triggered by an invitation to the annual security officers’ convention held in Las Vegas, where Paul hopes to reignite his passion and network with fellow security professionals. Unbeknownst to him, his daughter Maya, played by Raini Rodriguez, has recently received her acceptance to UCLA but chooses to keep this significant news from her father due to his anticipated trip.

Upon arriving at the elegant hotel, Paul is instantly captivated by Divina Martinez, the general manager, played by Daniella Alonso, unaware that she is already in a relationship with Eduardo Verástegui, the head of security. Meanwhile, Maya finds herself enchanted by Lane, the attractive valet. As Paul delves into the convention activities, he encounters Donna Ericone, a security guard from the Mall of America, who is eager to see Paul as the keynote speaker due to his legendary heroics at the West Orange Pavilion Mall.

However, Paul’s aspirations are dashed when the spotlight is instead given to Nick Panero, who will be delivering the keynote address. Amidst this setback, a nefarious scheme unfolds as Vincent Sofel, played by Neal McDonough, and his crew masquerade as hotel employees aiming to steal priceless artworks and substitute them with replicas, planning to auction the real masterpieces without raising any alarms.

As Paul grows increasingly protective of Maya after learning of her affection for Lane, he struggles to balance his desire to shield her with his own need for connection and affirmation. This leads to a confrontation with Eduardo, who humorously critiques Paul’s overzealous behavior when Maya goes missing. Their subsequent clash results in Maya revealing her acceptance into UCLA, leaving Paul feeling shocked and disheartened.

Throughout the convention, Paul, alongside Donna, Saul Gundermutt, Khan Mubi, and Gino Chizetti, explores an intriguing array of non-lethal security devices on display. While amidst the throngs of attendees, Paul’s attention is captured by Nick, who has clearly overindulged and is struggling to impress a woman at the bar. Paul steps in to defuse the awkward situation, taking advantage of Nick’s temporary incapacitation to seize the opportunity to deliver the keynote speech himself. Later, Paul finds solace in The Garden Of Contemplation, where an unexpected encounter with a cheeky bird challenges him to confront his surroundings, while a pianist provides a calming melody.

After delivering his speech, Paul is informed of the critical situation involving Maya and Lane, prompting him to leap into action. Yet, he first grapples with a recurring issue of hypoglycemia that complicates his heroic efforts. Once he regains his composure, Paul channels all his energy into thwarting Vincent’s henchmen, employing the non-lethal gadgets demonstrated at the convention. Meanwhile, Maya and Lane cleverly discover Vincent’s unusual sensitivity to oatmeal, which they plan to use to their advantage.

As Paul gathers his allies—Donna, Saul, Khan, and Gino—they blend a mix of hilarious clumsiness and calculated moves to dismantle Vincent’s criminal operation. Maya proves instrumental, using her quick wit to incapacitate Vincent by smearing oatmeal-laced concealer on his face, while Paul finishes him off with a strong headbutt. In the aftermath of their triumph, Paul assists Divina in finding love with Eduardo and secures Maya’s college future at UCLA by covering her tuition with the reward he received from Steve Wynn for successfully bringing down Vincent.

When the moment arrives for Paul to drop Maya off at campus, he experiences a delightful spark with a friendly mounted police officer who reciprocates his feelings. However, their sweet moment is abruptly interrupted when her horse unexpectedly kicks him into a car, leaving Paul to deal with both physical pain and a bruised ego.
