Here's the rephrased section:

After his father's passing, fourteen-year-old Ulysses (Ulysses) lives with his mother Amara and younger brother under the care of his conservative Aunt Rose. As he navigates the challenges of adolescence, Ulysses must contend with bullying at school and verbal abuse from Aunt Rose over his feminine characteristics. Amidst this turmoil, Ulysses finds solace in exploring his true self.

One fateful night, Ulysses ventures into the city, where he encounters a group of transgender and gay individuals: Ebony, Dijon, Raymond, and Heaven. These kindred spirits invite him to Saturday Church, a sanctuary providing food, shelter, and community for LGBT youths. Enthralled by the world of voguing, Ulysses purchases his own pair of high-heel shoes to hone his skills.

As he grows closer to Raymond, who harbors feelings for him, Ulysses's relationships become increasingly complicated. When Aunt Rose discovers Ulysses's new passion and confronts him about it, the young boy is forced to flee his home. Seeking refuge at Saturday Church, Ulysses finds solace among his friends, but when he arrives on a Wednesday evening, they're not there.

Desperate and hungry, Ulysses takes shelter at a homeless shelter, where he has an epiphany: he resolves to accept himself for who he is, rather than conforming to others' expectations. The next day, he's approached by an older male who offers him food and lodging in exchange for companionship.

On the following Saturday, Ulysses returns to Saturday Church, where his friends offer comfort and a sense of belonging. However, he yearns to reconnect with his mother Amara, who has reported him missing to the authorities. Back at home, Amara prepares to search for her son, only to be unexpectedly joined by Ebony, who helps Ulysses find solace.

As tensions simmer between Rose and Ebony, Amara stands up to her sister-in-law, protecting Ulysses from further harm. The next day, Amara reassures Ulysses that her love is unconditional, giving him the confidence he needs to embrace his true self. With this newfound freedom, Ulysses prepares to take center stage in a ballroom scene club, ready to vogue in drag with pride and authenticity.
