In a dramatic twist, former Korean Special Forces operative Baek Chang-gi, who has become the menacing head of an online gambling syndicate, commits a shocking act by brutally killing his employee Jo Sung-jae while he attempts to flee. Casino administrator Chang Dong-cheol strikes a deal with Baek, promising to shut down a rival casino and integrate its members into Baek’s organization in exchange for a bigger share. However, Chang betrays him, leaving Baek feeling cheated. In a fit of rage, Baek launches a violent assault on the rival’s server, stealing sensitive data and the member roster. With Chang’s failure to uphold his end of the bargain, Baek returns to South Korea, hell-bent on confrontation.

At the same time, Detective Ma Seok-do is assigned to investigate a potential money laundering case involving Jo. As he probes deeper, he uncovers that Jo’s gruesome murder has broader consequences. The autopsy reveals a tangled web of deceit, compelling Ma to revisit the case. His investigation unveils Jo’s employment history and a backup data trail leading to a money laundering operation, which his team proceeds to dismantle.

Ma’s journey leads him to Jang Yi-soo, a former online gambler turned entrepreneur, who reveals that his establishment was raided by the ruthless Emperor’s Casino, intent on dominating the online gaming sector. Diving further into this perilous world, Ma encounters Baek, who is ensnared in a labyrinth of lies and corruption. Chang has secretly started QM Holdings, a cryptocurrency operation, and is working on securing it with a major exchange.

Chang instructs Baek to accompany an associate to bribe the exchange representative, but Baek’s impatience results in the murder of his accomplice Ko. He then disposes of Choi Yu-seong, a potentially incriminating witness, putting Ma’s team in a frantic race to thwart further bloodshed. As the situation intensifies, Chang fears for their operation’s future and orders President Kwon to eliminate Baek.

Ma attempts to infiltrate Chang’s cryptocurrency launch event with the hope of uncovering ties between QM Holdings and Emperor’s Casino. Instead, he finds himself in a violent ambush orchestrated by Baek and his allies. In a chaotic struggle, Baek manages to escape, leaving behind a scene of havoc. Frustrated by the lack of progress, the police chief reluctantly disbands Ma’s team, but not before Ma persuades the police agency commissioner to approve the continuation of his investigation.

Armed with Jang’s intelligence and newfound authority from the commissioner, Ma’s team enacts an audacious plan: to create a fake casino that would entice Emperor’s Casino into raiding them. The tactic proves fruitful, allowing them to penetrate Emperor’s Casino’s server and trace the incriminating data back to Korea, confirming that QM Holdings was a facade for illicit gambling operations.

As the tension mounts, Baek plots his next move with Kwon to acquire Chang’s prized admin key. In a ruthless act, Baek cold-bloodedly kills Chang, stealing the vital server data stored at a villa, and leaving Kwon to deal with the aftermath. Just as Kwon attempts to make off with the stolen wealth, the police arrive in time to apprehend him.

The final showdown between Ma and Baek culminates in an intense struggle, with Ma emerging triumphant, bringing Baek into custody. In a heartfelt moment of closure, Ma’s team honors Jo and his mother at their memorial. Meanwhile, Jang faces repercussions for impersonating an officer, ending up arrested for flaunting the fake badge Ma had initially given him.
