Antonio Banderas

**José Antonio Domínguez Bandera**, better known as Antonio Banderas, is a highly celebrated Spanish actor. Notably, he has worked in a vast array of film genres and has received several accolades, including a Cannes Film Festival Award and a Goya Award. He has been nominated for an Academy Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, five Golden Globe Awards, and a Tony Award. Banderas made his acting debut at a small theater in his hometown of Málaga, catching the attention of director Pedro Almodóvar, who launched his film career with the 1982 screwball comedy _Labyrinth of Passion_. Banderas has frequently collaborated with Almodóvar on many films, such as _Matador_, _Law of Desire_, _Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown_, _Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!_, _The Skin I Live In_, and _Pain and Glory_. The latter film earned him the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actor and an Academy Award nomination. In 1992, Banderas made his American film debut with the musical drama _The Mambo Kings_. He then starred in several major Hollywood films, including _Philadelphia_, _Interview with the Vampire_, _Desperado_, _Evita_, and _Once Upon a Time in Mexico_. Banderas also played roles in franchises such as Zorro, Spy Kids, and Shrek, where he voiced Puss in Boots.
