The movie delves into a harrowing true story about the murderous plight of young women in Juárez, Chihuahua. It all begins when two men tragically assault a young woman named Eva Jimenez, leaving her for dead. Miraculously, she awakes and manages to crawl out of her own grave, experiencing the horror of survival.

Meanwhile, an American journalist, Lauren Adrian, is tasked with reporting on the series of brutal murders. Haunted by her own dark past, Lauren finds Eva, the only survivor, and vows to help her seek justice by catching the rapists. Together with Alfonso Diaz, a dedicated Mexican newspaper editor, Lauren adopts a disguise to infiltrate the local community and trap the criminals responsible for this atrocity.

Their mission proves partially successful when they manage to apprehend one of the rapists, but the other escapes. Just as they start to make progress, a crisis ensues—just days before Eva is set to testify, Lauren is compelled to leave Juárez to secure the publication of her story. In her absence, Eva attempts to flee to the United States, only to be apprehended by border police and sent back to the very place of her trauma.

As if this isn’t enough, tragedy strikes further when Alfonso becomes a victim of a drive-by shooting. By the time Lauren returns to Juárez, she finds herself amidst grief and horror; Alfonso has already been killed. Desperate to locate Eva, Lauren instead crosses paths with the escaped rapist, who violently attacks her, plunging her into the depths of danger and despair once more.
