Daniel Wroughton Craig (born 2 March 1968) is a versatile English actor and producer, best known for his role as James Bond in five installments of the Bond series. His breakout role was in the drama serial 'Our Friends in the North' (1996). He has had notable roles in successful films such as 'Elizabeth' (1998), 'Lara Croft: Tomb Raider' (2001), 'Road to Perdition' (2002), and 'Munich' (2005). In 2006, he debuted as James Bond, bringing a reboot to the franchise that was favourably received. His non-Bond work includes 'The Golden Compass' (2007), 'Defiance' (2008), 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' (2011), and 'Logan Lucky' (2017). He is also known for his work in the 'Knives Out' film series (2019, 2022), earning him two Golden Globe nominations.
