**Diane Lane** is an esteemed American actress who started her career very young and has been a prominent figure in the entertainment industry for the past five decades. Born in January 22, 1965 in New York City, Lane made her big screen debut at the tender age of 14 in George Roy Hill's 1979 film _A Little Romance_ and has had a very successful acting career since. Some of her most notable films are _Streets of Fire (1984)_, _Unfaithful (2002)_, and _Under the Tuscan Sun (2003)_ among others. She is known for her captivating performances and her diverse range in characters, making her one of the most versatile actresses in Hollywood. Diane Lane's work in films directed by Francis Ford Coppola, like _The Outsiders_ and _Rumble Fish_ (both 1983), _The Cotton Club (1984)_, and _Jack (1996)_, is also commendable. She proved her talent through a recurring role as Martha Kent, the adoptive mother of Superman, in Man of Steel (2013), and subsequent films of the DC Extended Universe.
