Felicity Rose Hadley Jones, widely known as Felicity Jones, is an acclaimed English actress who started her professional acting career at a young age. Born on October 17, 1983, in Birmingham, West Midlands, England, she grew up in Bournville with an interest in acting stoked by her actor uncle, Michael Hadley. She began her acting career with a role in the TV film The Treasure Seekers in 1996 and consequently made her mark in television series such as The Worst Witch and its sequel, Weirdsister College. Jones later diversified into film and gained recognition for her roles in Northanger Abbey (2007), Brideshead Revisited (2008), Chéri (2009), The Tempest (2010), The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), and True Story (2015). Her critically acclaimed performance in Like Crazy (2011) and her portrayal of Jane Hawking in The Theory of Everything (2014) earned her nominations for BAFTA and Academy Award for Best Actress.

In recent years, Jones has featured prominently in various films of diverse genres, including the thriller Inferno (2016), the fantasy drama A Monster Calls (2016), and the space opera Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016). She portayed Ruth Bader Ginsburg in the biopic On the Basis of Sex (2018) and starred in the streaming films The Aeronauts (2019), The Midnight Sky (2020), and The Last Letter from Your Lover (2021). Apart from acting, Jones has also been the face of prominent fashion and beauty brands like Burberry and Dolce & Gabbana, and is a global brand ambassador for Clé de Peau Beauté.
