Garret Dillahunt

American actor Garret Lee Dillahunt, born November 24, 1964, has significantly left his mark in the television industry with roles such as Fox sitcom Raising Hope's Burt Chance, where his performance earned him a nomination for the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. He has also demonstrated great versatility by playing two distinct characters, Jack McCall and Francis Wolcott, in Deadwood and starring as John Dorie in Fear the Walking Dead. Aside from these roles, he has appeared in The 4400, ER, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Burn Notice, Justified, and The Mindy Project. His work isn't only limited to television, as he delivered strong supporting roles in films like No Country for Old Men, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Winter's Bone, Looper, and 12 Years a Slave.

Dillahunt, the middle child amongst three boys, was born in Castro Valley, California and raised in Selah, Washington. After graduating from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Journalism in 1987, he pursued an MFA in acting at New York University. He had a steady career in theatre before fully diving into television and films. Dillahunt married actress Michelle Hurd in 2007.
