**Jai Stephen Courtney** is an Australian actor, born on March 15, 1986, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. His acting career, which began as a teenager, includes small roles in films and TV shows. He is a trained actor from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Courtney rose to recognition through his roles as the Dauntless leader Eric Coulter in The Divergent Series (2014–2015), Kyle Reese in Terminator Genisys (2015), and villain Captain Boomerang in DC Extended Universe films such as Suicide Squad (2016), The Suicide Squad (2021), and The Flash (2023). He also received accolades for his performance as a devious debt collector in the independent film Buffaloed (2019).
