He also co-starred with renowned actor Gregory Peck in numerous adventure films, notably in 'The Guns of Navarone'. Born in London, Justice was known for his strong Scottish ties, having been born to a Scottish father. He was remarked for his involvement in Scottish public life, playing a key role in the launch of Scottish Television and serving as Rector of the University of Edinburgh.
In his younger years, Justice held a variety of jobs, including work as a journalist, insurance salesman, English teacher, lumberjack, and even gold miner. His diverse experiences significantly influenced his later acting career, providing him with a rich source of character inspiration. He was also known for his sporting interests, having served as the secretary of the British Ice Hockey Association in the 1930s and managing the national team at the European Championships. Showcasing his breadth of skills, Justice also participated in car racing events. He was involved in international peacekeeping in the 1930s, served in the Spanish Civil War, joining the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve during World War II. He began acting after sustaining a shrapnel wound, starting at the Players' Theatre in London. With his unique personality, tall stature, and rich voice.
