John Krasinski

John Burke Krasinski (/krəˈzɪnski/; born October 20, 1979) is a prominent American actor and filmmaker. He gained significant recognition for his role as Jim Halpert on the NBC sitcom The Office (2005–2013), in which he also served as a producer and occasional director. His talent extends to writing, as he directed, co-wrote, and co-starred in the 2018 horror film A Quiet Place. This achievement led Time to name him as one of the 100 most influential people globally. He continued his streak of success by writing and directing the sequel A Quiet Place Part II (2020).

Krasinski received his education in theatre arts at Brown University and has earned film credits for participation in numerous notable films such as Leatherheads (2008), Away We Go (2009), It's Complicated (2009), Something Borrowed (2011), Promised Land (2012), and 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016). From 2018 to 2023, he played the title character in the Amazon Prime Video thriller series Jack Ryan, where he also served as an executive producer. Apart from acting and directing, Krasinski has done voice-over work in animated and documentary films. He also established a production company, Sunday Night Productions, in 2013, and he co-created the reality show Lip Sync Battle (2015–2019), which earned him three nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Structured Reality Program. Krasinski is married to English actress Emily Blunt, and together they have two daughters.
