Justin Theroux

**Justin Paul Theroux** (/θəˈroʊ/; born August 10, 1971) is a versatile American actor, director, producer, and screenwriter. He first gained recognition with his impactful work with director David Lynch in the critically acclaimed mystery film Mulholland Drive (2001) and the horror genre setter Inland Empire (2006). His talents became more prominent as he appeared in popular films such as Romy and Michele's High School Reunion (1997), American Psycho (2000), and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003). He was also part of Miami Vice (2006), Wanderlust (2012), and Bumblebee (2018). Additionally, Theroux has given an outstanding performance in films like The Girl on the Train (2016), The Spy Who Dumped Me (2018), and On the Basis of Sex (2018). He continued adding milestones to his career, with the latest appearance in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024). Not just acting, Theroux has also cemented his footing in the world of filmmaking. His writing skills were exhibited in films like the action comedy Tropic Thunder (2008), the invincible superhero film Iron Man 2 (2010), and the musical comedy-drama Rock of Ages (2012). His directorial finesse was first exhibited in the romantic comedy film Dedication (2007). Television was another battleground where Theroux left his mark. His portrayal of Kevin Garvey in HBO’s mystery drama series The Leftovers (2014–2017) won him widespread praise and a nomination for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series.
