Nick Offerman

**Nicholas David Offerman**, born June 26, 1970, is best known for his role as **Ron Swanson** in the NBC sitcom **Parks and Recreation** (2009–2015). His outstanding performance in this role earned him the Television Critics Association Award for Individual Achievement in Comedy and he was nominated twice for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Offerman has appeared in the second season of the FX series **Fargo** (2015) and **Pam & Tommy** (2022) on FX Hulu. He has acted in numerous independent films, such as **The Kings of Summer** (2013), **Me and Earl and the Dying Girl** (2015), **The Founder** (2016), and **Hearts Beat Loud** (2018). In 2023, he starred in the HBO series **The Last of Us**, earning him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series. His other memorable appearances include voice acting roles in The Lego Movie franchise (2014–2019), Hotel Transylvania 2 (2015), Ice Age: Collision Course (2016), and the Sing film franchise (2016–present). In his early life, Nicholas David Offerman was born in Joliet, Illinois. He pursued a BFA from the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign in 1993 and co-founded the Chicago theatre company Defiant Theatre. He continues his close association with theatre by participating with theatre companies such as Steppenwolf, Goodman, and Wisdom Bridge. He notably worked as a fight choreographer and master carpenter at Steppenwolf. In 2003, he married actress Megan Mullally. Offerman's contributions to the world of cinema extend beyond acting to include executive producing and starring roles, further solidifying his reputation as a versatile and accomplished artist.
