Robert Patrick Amell IV, better known as Robbie Amell is a notable Canadian-American actor and producer born in Toronto in 1988. His acting career started in small roles and commercials when he was just 6 years old. By the age of 16, he started playing roles in high school plays which marked a milestone in his acting journey. Amell first appeared in a non-speaking role in 'Cheaper by the Dozen 2'. His breakthrough moment was when he landed a role in the Canadian Family Channel series Life with Derek. His performance led to his appearance in popular series including ABC Family film Picture This, the Nickelodeon series True Jackson, VP and Cartoon Network series Unnatural History.

Amell is renowned for his roles in The CW series The Tomorrow People, The Flash, and the Prime Video series Upload. His other popular roles include Fred Jones in the films Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins and Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster, The Hunters as Paxton Flynn, The DUFF as Wesley Rush and The Babysitter as Max. Apart from acting, Amell also takes break dancing lessons and was considering a career in hockey before he developed a love for acting. Amell starred in and executive produced the 2019 sci-fi action film Code 8. He is currently starring in Upload, a science fiction comedy series on Amazon Prime Video, where his performance alongside co-star Andy Allo has been particularly celebrated. In his personal life, Amell is married to actress Italia Ricci and they have a son together.
