Shiori Kutsuna

Shioli Kutsuna, also known as Shiori Kutsuna, born on 22 December 1992, is an acclaimed Japanese actress. She got her first major starring role in 2009 when she played Tsugumi Nitobe in 7 Mannin Tantei Nitobe (70 000 People Detective Nitobe), a college student who uses her extensive online network to solve challenging cases. In 2011, she gained significant recognition for her role as Ran Mori in a live-action special of the popular manga series, Detective Conan, replacing actress Tomoka Kurokawa, who played Ran in 2006 and 2007 specials. She continued to rise to stardom and earned the Best New Actress of 2011 title by Kinema Junpo, a renowned film magazine.

Kutsuna made her international debut by bagging a role in Deadpool 2 (2018) and reprised it in Deadpool & Wolverine (2024). Over the years, she has played an array of intriguing characters, including Haru/Harumi in the Japanese-Turkish co-production 125 Years Memory(2015), and Mitsuki in Apple TV+ series Invasion. She's currently set to appear in Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. Fluent in both English and Japanese, her career took precedence over her education when she dropped out of college in 2013 to focus on her acting career.
