Thomas Edward Hopper, known as Tom Hopper, is an esteemed English actor. Born on 28th January 1985 in Coalville, Leicestershire, Tom developed an early interest in acting. He fine-tuned his acting skills while studying at Rose Bruford College. Tom started his acting journey with a part in As You Like It at the Watford Palace Theatre, eventually branching out into various television programmes and films, including Saxon, Casualty, Kingdom, and Doctors. Tom's first notable role was Marcus in the comedy-horror flick 'Tormented' in 2009.

In 2010, Hopper got the opportunity to star in an episode of the iconic series Doctor Who and proceeded to land the role of Sir Percival in the popular BBC series Merlin. After Merlin concluded in 2012, he participated in multiple projects such as Good Cop and Cold. Hopper gained considerable acclaim for his role as Billy Bones in the pirate drama, Black Sails, a prequel to the beloved classic, Treasure Island. He further expanded his profile by joining the cast of HBO's Game of Thrones as Dickon Tarly in the seventh season and featuring alongside Amy Schumer in I Feel Pretty. In 2019, Hopper starred as Luther Hargreeves in Netflix's The Umbrella Academy. Recently, Hopper starred in the Resident Evil adaptation - Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City as Captain Albert Wesker.
