Will Patton

William Rankin Patton, known professionally as Will Patton, is an acclaimed American actor born on June 14, 1954. He has made significant contributions to the film and television industry since the start of his career in 1981. Patton has starred in prominent roles in a broad range of films - from The Client (1994) and Armageddon (1998) to American Honey (2016) and Minari (2020). Notable in his career, Patton worked opposite Kevin Costner in four films and played a guest role in Yellowstone (2020–2022), a Paramount Network series. He has also experienced success in theater, earning two Obie Awards for his performances in Sam Shepard's Fool for Love and the Public Theater's What Did He See?. Patton's early life in Charleston, South Carolina influenced his path, with his playwright and acting/directing instructor father being a significant figure in shaping his career.

Patton's acting prowess has seen him in diverse roles across film and television. Beginning his journey in Desperately Seeking Susan (1985), he played a significant role alongside Kevin Costner in No Way Out (1987). His work alongside Costner didn't stop there, as he landed roles opposite him in The Postman (1997) and the Horizon: An American Saga series (2024). Other notable films include Remember the Titans (2000), Armageddon (1998), and Minari (2020), with the latter earning him and his fellow castmates nominations at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Patton has also branched out to television, notably starring in the TNT sci-fi series Falling Skies (2011–2015) and guest-starring in Yellowstone series (2020–2022). Well-rounded in his career, he has lent his voice to more than 45 audiobooks.
